“Lucy” became part of the O'Donnell Quarter Horse broodmare band in 2012. We have always been entertaining the idea of incorporating a Dash Ta Fame daughter into our herd. Lucy’s dam, Dont Laugh At Me, had a speed index of 92 with $8,544 in earnings. Don’t Laugh A Me is also a proven barrel horse producer. When the opportunity to purchase Lucy became available, we didn’t hesitate. Lucy hails from Chicago, IL. She was started lightly as a barrel horse and has a full siter running and winning rodeos in TX.
The weekend she came home, we rode her in the Judy Myllymaki clinic we hosted. We couldn't believe the natural talent the mare had. Given the emphasis we want to put on promoting our up-and-coming fillies, we have decided to breed this mare. She has proved to us her worth as a broodmare and we are excited to ride some of her colts.
